Rerouting Leads To Increased Visitor Numbers
Antigua and Barbuda is recording a slight, unplanned increase in cruise ship visits as vessels divert away from parts of the southern Caribbean amid heightened U.S. maritime patrols near Venezuela.
ABS News understands that at least two cruise ships have already rerouted to Antigua, skipping scheduled calls to Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao to avoid sailing near waters currently being monitored by U.S. authorities.
