Residents concerned about frequent earthquakes
Antigua and Barbuda has experienced at least five earthquakes for 2013, with the most recent occurring on Saturday at approximately 11:06am.
Residents have described the tremor as strong but short. No damage or injuries have been reported.
The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre up to news time had not released any information on the magnitude or depth of the quake.
On July 8, a 4.9-magnitude earthquake near Barbuda caused light shaking in Antigua, St Kitts and Guadeloupe.
Antigua and Barbuda also experienced a 5.3 magnitude tremor on April 30, a 4.8 magnitude earthquake on May 18, and a 4.8 quake on June 9.
