RESIDENTS REACT TO INCREASE IN NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE

Cabinet has agreed on an increase in the national minimum wage to $9.00 per hour, an increase of 80 cents per hour from the current $8.20.
However, this needs approval in Parliament before becoming effective.
It will be the first time the minimum wage is being increased since 2015.
