RESOLUTION PASSED TO ACQUIRE LAND AT JOLLY HARBOUR

Government has moved to address the challenges at Jolly Harbour, insisting there must be public access to the beach.
Parliament’s Lower House today approved a resolution to acquire the land for public purposes, affirming a decision of the cabinet.
The resolution follows moves by the government to ensure vending takes place in cleaner, more aesthetic booths in the area.
