SAND EXPORTS TO BE BANNED IN MOVE TO PROTECT ENVIRONMENT

The Government will be moving to ban the export of sand from Antigua and Barbuda.

The matter was discussed at the meeting of the cabinet on Wednesday, in a move aimed at protecting the environment.

However, sand will continue to be mined for domestic use.
