Sandals Training Manager Pleased With Interest Being Shown In Educational Opportunities

Training and Development Manager at the Sandals Grande Resort and Spa, Sherene Bird, is pleased with the level of interest shown by team members regarding educational opportunities.

Employees at the resort have the option to further develop their skills in tourism related disciplines at the Sandals Corporate University, which is Sandals Resorts International’s premier training and education institution.

Bird says that team members are always eager to advance their abilities, since this also make them more eligible for promotions and other opportunities.

She adds that another initiative, launched by the local resort in 2009, the Hospitality Training Programme (HTP) is also producing great results.

She details the components of the six week program.

She says another group persons will be interviewd next week and those selected will begin HTP training next month.
