Motorists are being advised of the temporary closure of a section of Valley Road North, to facilitate ongoing work under the Government’s second road infrastructure programme.
North and south-bound traffic will be diverted as a result of the installation of a culvert at the southern end of Jennings, close to the supermarket.
The Project Implementation Management Unit says road users traveling north will be asked to follow the diversions signs, and divert left on the Yorks Bay Road, then right through the village before rejoining the main Road.
Those traveling in the opposite direction are being asked to turn right at the diversion sign, then left through the village, then left on the Yorks Bay Road to rejoin the main road.
The PIMU says the diversions through the western side of the village will be during daylight hours only.
Road users are urged to follow the diversion signs, flag personnel and or the police.
