Security Guard Intervenes To Protect A Man Who Was Being Chased By Machete-Wielding Attackers

One man is reportedly nursing a chop wound to the hand after an altercation earlier this evening on Lower All Saints Road.

The incident occurred shortly before 7:30pm in the vicinity of the Diamond Ice Night Club.

Reports are indicating that it may have been a domestic dispute which led to the chopping incident.

A woman who said she was on the scene says the man was attacked by a group of persons in defence of a woman with whom reportedly had an earlier altercation.

During the scuffle, he was chopped, reportedly on his hand, and took refuge in the Rubis Gas Station, locking himself inside.

The other men gave chase and tried to enter the gas station to inflict further wounds on the victim but the security officer on duty intervened.

The guard on duty spoke with us, but chose not to appear on camera.
