Parliament’s Upper House, the Senate, has approved a motion for the transfer of the Jolly Beach Resort to the Social Security Board, following intense debate.

The move is aimed at strengthening the scheme’s long-term viability and will see the investment of $75 million in the upgrade of the iconic hotel property.
