The Government is assuring that surveillance measures have been heightened in the vicinity of schools as part of efforts to tighten security for children.

Members of the public are also being urged to be vigilant to ensure the safety of all, following the recent abduction and murder of 9-year-old Chantel Crump.

Chief of Staff in the Prime Minister’s Office, Ambassador Lionel Hurst provided the update in response to a question during Thursday morning’s post cabinet media briefing.
