Senator Kiz Johnson Opens Community Centre In St Philip South
A new community centre and constituency office has been opened in the St Philip South constituency to provide several services to residents.
The centre in Freetown will provide after-school lessons, community support programmes, and other initiatives designed to empower youth and others in the community.
Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party caretaker for the St Philip South constituency, Senator Kiz Johnson, says the opening of the facility is not just the launch of a building, but a symbol of hope, opportunity and a bold way forward for the area’s constituents.
In addition to community activities, the office will also be used to host after-school lessons for students in the area immediately after the Easter break, including those preparing to sit the Grade Six National Assessment later this year.
Senator Johnson has received glowing commendation from Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne for the impact and momentum she is building in the constituency since winning the ABLP primary late last year.
