SENATOR SHENELLA GOVIA SWORN IN AS MINISTER OF STATE

Senator Shenella Govia has become the country’s newest minister of state after she was sworn in at Government House on Friday.

The senator has been appointed junior minister in the Ministry of Education, Sports and Creative Industries, a promotion from the post of parliamentary secretary she had since last year.

She thanks the prime minister and the cabinet for the confidence reposed in her and has vowed to continue to work hard in the ministry. Garfield Burford reports.
