SEVERAL PEDESTRIANS MOWED DOWN BY VEHICLE IN ST JOHN’S

About nine pedestrians have been hospitalised after they were mowed down by a minivan on Market Street in the vicinity of the Meat Market. The incident happened mid-afternoon Wednesday, as the driver of the Brownies Bakery vehicle ran into several produce stalls along the road. He had just exited the Fisheries Complex, and it is believed he had a medical emergency. One of the injured pedestrians was dragged several feet under the vehicle.
