Shanti Town Murder

The country’s 9th murder victim has been identified as Mario James of All Saints Village.

James, 34, was stabbed following an altercation at Shanti Town in the vicinity of the East bus Station early Saturday morning.

It is alleged that James was stabbed with a sharp object about the abdomen following a confrontation with another man. He later succumbed to his injuries at the Mount St. John Medical Centre.

Investigations are still on-going.

Last year, after an almost incident free carnival, two shootings left three people nursing gunshot wounds at the Mount St. Johns Medical Centerand caused law enforcement to cancel the 2013 last lap celebrations..
