SIR ROBIN YEARWOOD’S 50TH YEAR IN PARLIAMENT TO BE CELEBRATED NEXT MONTH

Parliament will celebrate a major milestone in coming weeks, when St Phillip’s North Member of Parliament, Hon. Sir Robin Yearwood marks 50 unbroken years in the nation’s legislature.

Sir Robin first won the seat on February 18, 1976, with 66.84 per cent of the votes and has remained the political representative since, with winning margins of between 52 to 82 per cent of the votes throughout the years.

Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne is urging the entire nation to join in the celebrations of Sir Robin’s golden jubilee in Parliament, regardless of political affiliation and ideology.
