SIR RONALD SANDERS APPOINTED CHANCELLOR OF UNIVERSITY OF GUYANA
Veteran diplomat Sir Ronald Sanders has been appointed as the next Chancellor of The University of Guyana.
Sir Ronald has confirmed he will undertake this role while remaining Antigua and Barbuda’s ambassador to the United States, under an agreement between both countries.
Guyana’s President, Dr Irfaan Ali says Sir Ronald was selected for the role because of his”exceptional record of scholarship, public service, and international engagement that aligns closely with the university’s aspirations for academic excellence and global visibility.”
Sir Ronald will succeed Professor John Edward Greene.
