SIR RONALD SANDERS LEADS “HISTORIC” CLIMATE CHANGE DECLARATION AT OAS
Antigua and Barbuda has taken the lead on a historic declaration on climate change at the Organisation of American States.
The twin-island state’s ambassador to the hemispheric grouping, Sir Ronald Sanders drafted the original declaration, which had the support of 19 other states across the Caribbean and Central America.
The move is a part of efforts to widen the alliance of states which are jointly seeking remedies for loss and damage to their economies and the livelihoods of their people.
