SIR RONALD SANDERS NOT HOPEFUL UNITED STATES WILL COMPENSATE A&B IN GAMING ROW
Antigua and Barbuda’s ambassador to the United States, Sir Ronald Sanders is not hopeful for a resolution of the long-running gaming dispute. The World Trade Organisation made an arbitral ruling in Antigua and Barbuda’s favour over two decades ago, indicating the US owes compensation for the damage to this country’s gaming industry. The US owes hundreds of millions of dollars to Antigua and Barbuda based on that ruling, but has not budged on a meaningful resolution. Sir Ronald tells ABS News why he is not hopeful the US will pay up.
