The agreement was reached after Antigua and Barbuda’s ambassador to the United States, Sir Ronald Sanders held high-level talks with US officials in Washington D.C. on Friday.
The agreement was reached within three days of President Donald Trump’s proclamation, long before the 180-day timeline indicated for review.
