Sir Ronald Sanders Rubbishes Visa Claims from VI Consortium

Antigua and Barbuda’s ambassador to the United States Sir Ronald Sanders says a claim made regarding a reduction in the validity of United States visas granted to Antigua and Barbuda passport holders is false.

The Virgin Islands Consortium made the claims in an article published on Thursday, indicating the validity period has been reduced to three months.

The VI Consortium says this reduction in validity applies to Antigua and Barbuda and Dominica. The article makes reference to “updated reciprocity schedules” from the US State Department, but does not indicate when it viewed these schedules.

Sir Ronald is making it clear this information in the online article is not accurate.

He continues to engage US officials regarding the visa restrictions which were announced by Washington late last year, and the subsequent pause on the processing of Immigrant visas, or green cards, which applies to 75 countries.
