SIX ARRESTED AFTER ARMS SEIZURE IN SWETES

6 people have been arrested after police reportedly seized two firearms and several rounds of ammunition in Swetes Village on Tuesday.

A team of officers allegedly found a .3-8 revolver, a .2-5 pistol and a quantity of ammunition during a search of the house occupied by the six people.

The illegal weapons and ammunition were seized and taken to the police station, where further investigations are currently ongoing into the matter.

This seizure brings to 6 the number of illegal firearms taken off the streets by the police since the start of the year.

Law enforcers have also seized almost 60 rounds of ammunition year-to-date.
