SLBMC RECEIVES EQUIPMENT DONATION WORTH OVER $38K

The Friends of MSJMC marked the 10th anniversary of their ‘Tickle Me Pink’ fundraising initiative with a donation of over EC$38,300 in medical equipment to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, at the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The donation includes clinical care recliners, infusion systems, IV stands, wheelchairs, a mobile storage cabinet, and a digital chair scale with a 400 lb. capacity.

Nurse Assistant Judith Joseph told ABS News she was especially grateful for the chair scale, noting it will be crucial for cancer patients unable to be transported to the Dialysis Unit just to be weighed.
