SPRINTER JOELLA LLOYD GRATEFUL FOR GOVERNMENT’S FULL SPONSORSHIP

Sprinter Joella Lloyd has expressed her appreciation to the government after cabinet approved full sponsorship of her preparation for major international track and field meets.

These include the Commonwealth Games this year and the 2028 Olympic Games in the US city of Los Angeles.

Cabinet discussed the issue during its meeting on Wednesday, confirming Lloyd will be placed in a special programme of financial assistance.
