Statement from National Housing Development and Urban Renewal Company Limited
on ownership of lands at Marble Hill. Refutes lands owned by Prime Minister

It has come to the attention of the National Housing Development and Urban Renewal Company Limited, false information circulating on social media, claiming that 10.8 acres of land in the Marble Hill area, adjacent to the newly constructed Chinese Embassy, is owned by the Hon. Prime Minister, Gaston Browne.
National Housing Development and Urban Renewal Company Limited wishes to categorically state that this information is false and wishes to place on record that the National Housing Development and Urban Renewal Company Limited is the sole beneficial owner of the lands previously registered to Adams Investment Management of Trinidad and Tobago. The lands were transferred to National Housing on 18th April 2016 and the entire area is earmarked for housing development for the people of Antigua and Barbuda, with eight (8) commercial lots and eighteen (18) residential lots.
The said lands are still in the ownership of National Housing and have not been transferred or sold to anyone including the Hon. Prime Minister Gaston Browne, or any member of his family.
The National Housing Development and Urban Renewal Company Limited continues to provide the highest quality of affordable homes to the people of Antigua and Barbuda. (Ends)
