SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER DCP ALBERT WADE STABBED

A man is now in police custody after reportedly stabbing Deputy Commissioner of Police Albert Wade on Church Street last night. DCP Wade, who has the operations portfolio, reportedly saw two men in a squabble sometime after 8:30 Thursday evening and attempted to defuse the situation. He was reportedly attacked by one of the men who stabbed him in the head and both arms. DCP Wade is now receiving treatment for the injuries. The attacker fled the scene but was later nabbed by sleuths and is expected to be charged.
