TEACHERS TAKE INDUSTRIAL ACTION OVER OUTSTANDING PROMOTION LETTERS

The Education Ministry says efforts are continuing in earnest to resolve the issue of outstanding promotion letters, which prompted industrial action by public school teachers on Tuesday.
The educators are dissatisfied that several of their colleagues are yet to receive their promotion letters, after having engaged in professional development.
The Education Ministry has sought to assure the restive teachers that it is in talks with the Establishment Department to ensure a speedy resolution.
