TEN TEAMS ALREADY CONFIRMED FOR ROUND OF 16; MORE TO BOOK BERTH ON THURSDAY

Two-time World Cup champions Argentina are among the latest teams to have booked their places in the round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. La Albicelestes topped Group C following a 2-0 victory over Poland on Wednesday. Poland also advanced to the round of 16, narrowly eclipsing Mexico on goal difference. Australia joined France as qualifiers from Group D; France emerged as group winners despite losing 1-0 to Tunisia.
Other teams to have so far qualified for the round of 16 are The Netherlands, Senegal, England, United States, Brazil and Portugal.
