The Hon. Arthur Nibbs Supports Fully The Robert DeNiro Group
Barbuda Member of Parliament, the Hon. Arthur Nibbs, is throwing his full support behind the ongoing negotiations with the Robert DeNiro Group for a major development on the island.
Speaking during the budget debate on Thursday, the Minister refutes claims of land give away, calls such allegations misleading and views the move as progressive.
Nibbs says the decision to give 199 year lease on land in Barbuda is a decision taken that will benefit the people of the sister isle in a major way.
Nibbs says persons rather look at the negative rather than the proposed investment at hand that will empower not only the people of Barbuda by providing jobs, but Antiguans as well will benefit.
He added that investors Robert DeNiro and James Parker are looking to lease 500 acres of land.
Also on the investment table is US 200 thousand for a developmental master plan.
The Barbuda Minister says through skillful negotiations this deal will bring $250 US million worth of investment for sister isle.
