The Nation Says Farewell To An Outstanding Member Of The Judiciary

Many turned out to pay their last respects to the late Justice Ephraim Georges during an official funeral at the Holy Family Cathedral yesterday (Wednesday).

Justice Georges helped shape the jurisprudence of the region and was duly eulogized for his sterling contribution.

Top officials to include Governor General Sir Rodney Williams, ministers of government and legal luminaries from around the region joined family members at the funeral.

His children Gregory Georges and Valerie Georges –Thomas were among those who offered tributes.

He served in Antigua as a Judge in the High Court and Court of Appeal from the early 1990s until 2012.

Justice Ephraim Georges passed away at the Mount St. Johns Medical Centre on March 14. He was 82 years old.
