The Nation to be first of Caribbean Countries to Benefit from New Initiative
Antigua and Barbuda will be the first Caribbean country to benefit from the launch of a new tourism and health initiative in February.
During his contribution to the 2014 Budget Debate, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister, John Maginley, says the Caribbean Public Health Agency in conjunction with the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) have designed a detailed document, which has the following purposes.
The program was conceptualized by Minister Maginley in 2009, when he was at the helm of the Caribbean Tourism Organization.
He details the main components of the program.
The beneficiaries of the program include: Caribbean economies, hotels, Cruise vessels and tour operators.
