The New Airport Terminal Building To Open In April

The new terminal at V.C Bird International Airport will open in April.

That is the date identified by Aviation Minister, the Hon. Robin Yearwood.

He told members of the House of Representatives that much of the work on the Chinese-financed project is at, or, nearing completion.

Yearwood says the new terminal building will offer facilities comparable to those in first world countries.

The aviation minister adds that the terminal will have its own energy centre that will include its own standby generator, underground cistern, as well as scores of closed circuit television. It will also feature special lounges for heads of state and premium class passengers.
