‘THE NEXT 24 HOURS WILL BE CRUCIAL’ – MET OFFICE PROVIDES UPDATE ON STRENGTHENING ERIN
The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services wants residents to maintain a heightened level of vigilance as Tropical Storm Erin is set to pass just north of the Leeward Islands this weekend.
The cyclone now has maximum sustained winds of 50 miles per hour, but is expected to strengthen into a hurricane later this week.
Meteorologist Orvin Paige says the next 24 hours will be crucial in determining the level of impact, if any, on Antigua and Barbuda.
