The Prime Minister Says He Stands By His Description Of The Strike As Being Politically Motivated
Prime Minister the Hon. Gaston Browne remains firm in his belief that the Antigua Workers’ Union is politically motivated and makes no apologies for such comments.
Speaking on concerns among bank workers about The Banking Act, Prime Minister Browne says they need not worry about their severance, as it is protected under the legislation.
Prime Minister Browne says there is no justified reason for industrial action.
He adds that his government will, in no way, disrespect bank workers, and their concerns will be addressed at the next sitting of the Lower House.
