The University Of The West Indies Impressed With Antigua And Barbuda’s Plans To Establish The Fourth Landed Campus Here
New this morning, the University of the West Indies will be establishing a task force to look into the possibility of making Antigua and Barbuda a campus territory.
News of this came last night from Attorney General Steadroy ‘Cutie’ Benjamin, who is leading a high level delegation to Jamaica for discussions with the Council of the University of the West Indies.
Minister Benjamin says the council was full of praise about the presentation and the major initiative that is being sought by Antigua and Barbuda. He says not only Antigua and Barbuda, but the sub region will be better served should Antigua and Barbuda become the fourth campus territory of the UWI.
Also in Jamaica for the meeting are Permanent Secretary within the Ministry of Education Rosa Greenaway Director of Education, Clare Browne and Chairman of the Antigua and Barbuda University Committee Hyram Ford.
