Tourism Minister Says New Master Plan Will Chart The Way Forward for The for V.C. Bird International Airport
The future expansion of Runway 10 for private jets and aircraft maintenance is among the key components to be included in a new master plan for the V.C. Bird International Airport.
Another important component of the plan is cargo, as the government looks to expand this area to strengthen Antigua and Barbuda’s role in regional trade.
Tourism Minister Hon. Charles Fernandez says the comprehensive plan will serve as the primary roadmap for airport development, operational efficiency, and long-term investment decision-making.
He notes that the airport has been operating at full capacity during peak seasons, underscoring the need for expansion.
