Trio Caught With Cocaine

The police continue to make a dent in the country’s illegal drug trade.

On Thursday the Narcotics and Criminal Investigations Departments, along with the Joint Task Force executed a search warrant at a Herbert’s apartment, which netted over a kilo of cocaine.

Victor Mandela Spencer, 29, and Nicholas Vaughn Lewis, 33 –both of Herbert’s — along with Erika Peters of Ottos, have been jointly charged with Possession of 1 Kilo 77 Grams of Cocaine, Possession with intent to sell, and being concerned in the supplying of cocaine.

The Class “A” Drugs attracts an estimated street value of $37,803. They suspects are remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.

So far for the month of January, the police have made a number of drug arrests, with an estimated street value over a quarter of a million dollars, and thousands of dollars paid in fines.

A number of illegal firearms and ammunition were also recovered from the streets. Monies in excess of $50,000 were also seized from some of these operations.
