Two in Custody For Drug Seizure at Deep Water Harbour

Two people are currently in police custody assisting with investigations, following the seizure of 131 pounds of cannabis.

On Friday, the Police and Customs Department conducted a joint drug operation at Deep Water Harbour and discovered two barrels containing 162 sealed cans and 11 vacuum-sealed packages of the controlled drug hidden among food items.

A woman from York’s New Extension and a man from Gunthorpes were arrested and taken into custody.

This latest seizure is said to be estimated at XCD$1,048,000.
