UPDATE: 22 YEAR OLD MAN DIES AFTER ALLEGED ELECTROCUTION

Police say they are continuing investigations into the death of 22 year old Judah Bowers of Gray’s Farm, who is believed to have been electrocuted in his backyard last night. Reports received by the police indicate he was hanging out clothes about 9:15 when the line on which he was pinning the clothes apparently came into contact with an energized electrical wire connected to a fence.

Bowers’ brother reportedly found him unresponsive on the ground and called the emergency services. He was transported to hospital and pronounced dead about 9:34. A post mortem is to be conducted to ascertain the cause of death. ABS News understands Bowers had recently returned from the hospital where he had been visiting a close relative, for whom he had been doing laundry when the tragedy unfolded.

A pall of grief is now hanging over the community as relatives and residents reel from the tragic incident.
