UPDATE ON BRUCE GREENAWAY MURDER CASE
Director of Public Prosecutions Anthony Armstrong has given formal approval for prosecutors to proceed with their case against the law enforcers charged in the Bruce Greenaway murder.
This was revealed today when Police Constable Jason Modeste, Lance Corporal Shakiel Thomas and Privates Armal Warner and Aliyah Martin made an appearance in the District B Magistrates Court.
The police officer and the three Defence Force soldiers were charged with murder after Greenaway’s lifeless body was discovered at Indian Creek April 13.
At today’s hearing, prosecutors revealed the DPP has sent his fiat to proceed with the case.
This means the case file will now be served on the court and defence counsel ahead of the next hearing set for December 21.
