UPP Announces Candidate for St John’s City South

Adrian Williams has been confirmed as the United Progressive Party’s candidate for St John’s City South in the upcoming general election.

Williams succeeds former UPP caretaker for that constituency, Franz DeFreitas, who was recently reassigned to contest the St Paul seat.

UPP Political Leader Jamale Pringle made the announcement today, stating that Williams’ membership in the St. George Branch has been ratified and the required membership period has been waived, making him eligible to contest the election in St John’s City South.

Pringle added that the party’s full slate of candidates will be ratified at a General Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 7.
