UWI FIVE ISLANDS TO CONFER HONORARY DOCTORATE ON PROFESSOR PAGET HENRY 

The University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus will honour professor Dr. Paget Henry, expert in Caribbean philosophy, sociology and political thought, at this year’s commencement ceremony.  It is part of the University of the West Indies’ tradition of recognising exceptional individuals who have made significant contributions to their fields.  Professor Henry is Emeritus Professor of Sociology and Africana Studies at Brown University, has dedicated his career to advancing Caribbean thought and fostering academic spaces for the study of African and Caribbean philosophy.  He is also an established and respected author. 

He will be conferred an honorary Doctor of Laws (LL.D) Degree.
