V.C. BIRD INTERNATIONAL BAGGAGE SCREENING MACHINES TO BE RECOMMISSIONED SOON

Officials at the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority (ABAA) indicate a Technician is to arrive on island today (Friday, September 5, 2025) to service the primary x-ray baggage screening machines at the V.C. Bird International Airport.  

These have been inoperable for some time and passengers are now being redirected to use the secondary baggage screening machine called oversized baggage screening, located East of check-in counter 25.  Meanwhile, passengers are encouraged to arrive early, allowing additional time for the check-in process.
