VACCINATED ISLAND ACADEMY STUDENTS TO RESUME FACE-TO-FACE LEARNING

The Education Ministry has announced that Island Academy will be the first private secondary school to be given the greenlight to resume face-to-face learning for vaccinated students as of Wednesday, October 6. Director of Education, Clare Browne provided the information to ABS News on Monday evening. An application submitted by St Joseph’s Academy is being processed and will be approved once the Ministry receives additional information it has requested. Meanwhile, remote learning continues for public school students in both primary and secondary students; the situation will be reviewed later this month to determine the next steps. Mr Browne says the government continues to do its best to ensure optimal outcomes for public school students under the prevailing circumstances.
