VENEZUELAN EMBASSY HOLDS VIGIL IN THE WAKE OF US INTERVENTION

Several members of the Venezuelan diaspora in Antigua and Barbuda gathered at the Embassy on Old Parham Road for a candlelight vigil on Thursday night.

They offered prayers and called for peace in the wake of recent events in the South American nation.

The vigil was held in the wake of military action by the United States to capture President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, who are now facing drug charges in New York.

Members of the group outlined the significant impact of these developments and called for unity and respect for Venezuela’s sovereignty.
