‘WE SHALL REMEMBER THEM’ – A&B COMMEMORATES 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF VE DAY

Antigua and Barbuda joined several other countries around the world in marking Victory in Europe, VE Day, on Thursday.

The solemn occasion commemorates the historic milestone signalling the end of World War II in Europe.

The wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial in St John’s paid tribute to the brave Antiguans and Barbudans who contributed to the victory of the allies over Nazi Germany, part of the Axis Powers.
