West Indies Women Lose ODI Series to Australia

Australia Women have clinched their three-match One-Day International series against West Indies Women, with a 90-run victory in the second match n St Kitts last night.

The visitors elected to bat and amassed an imposing 269 for 7 in their 50 overs.

They were led by Beth Mooney with a top-score of 65, while opener Phoebe Litchfield contributed 46.

Captain Hayley Matthews was the pick of bowlers for West Indies, taking 3 for 40 in her 10 overs.

West Indies Women were then dismissed for 179 in 46 overs, with a top-score of 45 from Matthews.

Player of the match Georgia Wareham took 3 for 29 to add to her contribution of 39 with the bat.

West Indies’ Ashmini Munisar who took 2 for 45 in her 10, commented on the team’s bowling effort.
