WHO COMMENTS ON COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The World Health Organisation has commented on whether it is realistic to expect the end of the pandemic could be realized by the end of this year.
Here is the response from the WHO’s head of emergencies, Dr Mike Ryan.

Dr Ryan says data from vaccination programmes has provided encouraging signals about not only reducing hospitalisations and deaths but also transmission.
However, he suggests the world is not yet out of the proverbial woods.
