WOODEN STRUCTURE RAZED BY FIRE

Only charred remains were left after a Cooks Hill wooden structure was engulfed in flames earlier this afternoon.

Neighbours say they called the fire police shortly after returning home around 3pm.

Fire officers were on the scene 20 minutes later, but there was nothing left to salvage.

It is unclear at this time if the structure was occupied.

Neighbours say the house was unoccupied for some time, but they noticed the door had been opened a few days ago.

Police investigations into the cause of the fire continue.
