Work Begins on Bathrooms at YASCO

A long-awaited government intervention will see the bathroom facilities at YASCO finally complete.

The project which began more almost two decades ago has been left languishing even after an investment of over EC$600,000.00.

Works Minister, Hon, Maria Browne, in whose constituency the track and field facility sits, says the impending work “…reflects a renewed focus on improving public infrastructure and supporting the needs of our athletes, students, and the wider public who use YASCO.”

It’s the start of a fulfilment of a promise made by government in may that the project would be complete by the end of 2025. The project is to be completed through the National Housing & Urban Renewal Company.

Minister Browne also writes the new facilities will ensure “… comfort, hygiene, and dignity for both athletes and spectators.”
