Young Cricketer Stabbed to Death

Promising cricketer 16-year-old Vonde Bowers has died.

Bowers has been identified as the victim of a stabbing incident in the Hatton area, where his body was found in a gutter riddled with stab wounds on Tuesday night.

He was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. A family member tells ABS News the teenager was stabbed multiple times in the chest and head.

Bowers had just returned last week from a tour of England and the Jersey Islands in the UK with other young cricketers.

Bowers’ Family has been left devastated by this ordeal.

ABS News understands another 16-year-old is in police custody assisting with investigations.
